The latest innovations never stop, even for the Silkroad Xplore. The most challenging demands serve as our yardstick. The Silkroad Xplore has therefore been significantly updated to make it belt drive-compatible.
The Pinion gearbox, which was developed by German designers who had previously worked in Porsche's transmission center, is integrated into the Silkroad Xplore frame. Our exclusive TBA System facilitates the tensioning of the belt or the chain, meaning that a chain tensioner is no longer required. Together with a steel frame and on a touring bike, this combination is ideal for carefree cycling.
With 18 gears, the gearbox provides a wide gear range with excellent ratios, making it ideal for long-distance cyclists. The central arrangement of the gearbox provides a balanced weight and therefore perfect handling. The lower rotating mass of the rear wheel also provides more riding agility.
The new dropouts and the updated cable routing facilitate the installation of a mechanical disk brake.
